Hannah began studying Permaculture in Forest Grove, Oregon in 2008. She mentored permaculture classes as a student at Pacific University, specializing in collaborative group client design projects, and was involved with the 3.5 acre Permaculture Project "B Street", a blank 50x100 lot garden "Life & Sol", and the Planet Repair Institute. Hannah was a primary organizer for the Village Building Convergence in 2010, 2011, and was Placemaking Coordinator for VBC 2012. She's traveled to many farms, intentional communities, and focused community gatherings, drawings insights from diverse groups of people and landscapes to inform her work as a teacher, farmer, writer, community organizer, and all-around passionate life enthusiast.
Guest: Embodying Permaculture Principles
Maren Waldman is a dancer, choreographer, educator, and body-worker who is passionate about researching the ways that dance and movement build connection. Her work specifically investigates the relationship between the body and the planet, raising awareness of environmental issues. She is currently completing her first environmental dance film, Postcards to the Earth. Maren holds an MFA in Dance Performance and Choreography with a focus on Somatics from the University of Colorado, Boulder, and a Permaculture Design Certificate from the Finger Lakes Permaculture Institute. She loves cooking, listening, hiking, and being in community. When she’s not dancing, she’s dancing :)

Local Organizers: Regenerative Lifestyles
Regenerative Lifestyles LLC, follows the triple bottom line business strategy: planet, people, profit. Regenerative Lifestyles exists in order to provide education and resources in regenerative living to the world’s urban environments. Regenerative Lifestyles makes available workshops, programs, and services providing experiential learning opportunities. Denver Earthship Visitor Center and The Center for Regenerative Living Complex are our main projects. The Earthship Visitor Center and the Regenerative Living Complex serve as an education center, a demonstration site, and an information-networking hub. The vision includes eco-tourist attractions, residential communities, and nightly rental accommodations.
